Booking terms for Zada charters and open trips

The rates on this site are 2026 rates and run to 31 December 2026. Rates for 2027 are sent on request, in writing, before any deposit is paid. We publish one 2026 price list for each boat; weekday and weekend rates are confirmed per date on request.

The written quote fixes the figure: once you accept it, the amount in it is the amount you pay for what it lists. Prices include 11 percent VAT, and the quote shows the final amount in rupiah, with the dollar figure beside it. Anything the quote does not list, such as the guide and the documentation on a private charter, the park tickets and the ranger fees, is outside the fare and is paid on top or quoted separately.

The rates assume the head count in the quote. A change of head count that moves the group into another Zada Ulla band changes the rate, and the change is confirmed in writing before it applies.

The booking has two payments. A deposit of 50 percent confirms it, and the balance is due 30 days before sailing. A booking made inside that window is paid in full on confirmation. The table sets out each step.

If the sailing is cancelled by us or by the boat's operator group and no replacement is accepted, the refund is in full. Cancellations are measured from the date of your written notice to the first day of sailing, and a refund returns the percentage of what you have paid that the table names.

Names on the manifest can be changed until the cut-off written in the quote, and a replacement guest must meet the same conditions as the one replaced. After the cut-off a change may not be possible, because the sailing permit and the park tickets are issued against names. Where it is possible, we say so in writing.

A guest who is late for the meeting point on an open trip catches up with the boat at their own cost; the boat does not wait beyond the plan. A guest who does not arrive is a no-show, and a no-show receives no refund.

A change of boat after the quote is a new quote. A change of date is subject to the boat being free, and costs the reschedule fee when the notice falls 14 to 29 days before sailing, as the table above sets out.

If the booked boat cannot sail for a reason beyond our control, we arrange a replacement boat for the same dates, or refund you within 14 days, under the booking terms.

The itinerary can change with weather, current and park rules, and the harbour authority can set limits on where a boat goes. The captain sets the order of the stops and the anchorage on the day. A change of stops is not a failure to sail and is not a reason for a refund; we tell you as soon as we know.

Events beyond either side's control, such as a storm that closes the harbour, a government order or a closure of the park, are force majeure. In those cases we apply the replacement or refund steps above, and neither side owes the other more.

Children aged 0 to 2 travel free when accompanied by a parent or guardian; from age 3 the full price applies. Whether a child counts toward the head count that sets a Zada Ulla band is confirmed in writing.

Travel and medical insurance is recommended for every guest, including cover for cancellation, medical care and evacuation, and it is not part of the fare. Buy it before the deposit is paid, so that the cancellation scale is covered from the first day. A liability waiver is signed before the trip.

Conduct that endangers the boat, the crew, other guests or the national park can end the charter, without refund. The captain's instructions on board are binding for safety.
