What you can hold on a Komodo boat: company, group, family and celebration events

Updated 28 October 2026

Companies, event organisers, large families and celebration hosts charter a whole Zada boat, for up to 28 guests on Zada Ulla. A 3D2N charter starts at IDR 85,000,000 · about USD 5,215 per boat on Zada Mega or Zada Zen. Each event page works through one group size; weddings and decoration are arranged on request and quoted separately.

Five event types, and the boat each one starts from

Each event type is written for a stated head count, because the head count decides the boat before anything else does. Read the one nearest to your brief and adjust.

  • Incentive and corporate. 20 people on Zada Ulla's 15 to 20 band, or a leadership team of 12 on Zada Zen. The incentive page prices both, with a three-day run-of-show.
  • Multi-boat. 40 guests on Zada Ulla with Zada Nara, or Zada Ulla with Zada Zen: two separate charters booked on the same dates. The multi-boat page also works through 25 and 60.
  • Team building. 28 people on a one-day charter, built from the walks, the snorkel stop, the paddle boards, the kayaks and the karaoke set.
  • Large family. 18 relatives across three generations on Zada Ulla, the only boat with cabins called Family, which take up to four.
  • Weddings and celebrations. 24 guests on one boat, with decoration, music and an MC arranged on request and quoted separately.

If your group fits none of these, the head-count ladder below still works: it needs only a number.

What every event has in common

Every event on a Zada boat has a fixed head count, fixed dates and a named PIC. The head count is a ceiling, not a target: Zada Mega takes up to 10 guests, Zada Zen 12, Zada Nara 14 and Zada Ulla 28, and no boat takes a guest above its number. A party of 29 to 42 is Zada Ulla with Zada Nara, 43 to 54 adds Zada Zen, and up to 64 takes all four boats.

Every event also has a name for each person who steps aboard. The sailing permit, the park tickets and the rooming list are all built on that list, so the date on which it closes is written into your quote.

Producer's checklist, one line. Head count, rooming list, dietary list, flight manifest, branding wishes and budget per head, each with a cut-off date. The how-to-book page lists who sends what.

What a boat hosts

A talk or a prize-giving happens at the dining table or on deck. Weddings, celebrations, stage, decoration, an MC, a band and branded banners are arranged on request and quoted separately; none is part of a fare.

A shared sailing is not an event. An open trip puts your group on a boat with other guests, so it suits a recce for the producer or a small-team reward, not a hosted evening. For a hosted event the whole boat is yours, which means a private charter; and on a private charter the guide and the documentation are not included, so a company that wants a photographer books one through us, quoted separately.

The ceiling is 28 guests on one boat and 64 across the four. Beyond that, a second event is a second booking.

FAQ

Can you host an event on a boat in Komodo?

Yes, as a private charter of a whole Zada boat for a fixed head count: a company trip, a team-building day, a family gathering or a celebration. Stage, decoration, an MC, a band and branded banners are arranged on request and quoted separately.

How many guests can one boat host?

Zada Ulla takes 28, Zada Nara 14, Zada Zen 12 and Zada Mega 10. These are ceilings: no boat takes one more. A larger party books two or more boats as separate charters on the same dates.

What does a boat not host?

A programme that needs a stage, a screen or a separate hall belongs ashore. A ceremony set-up is arranged on request and confirmed in writing before you pay.

Who plans the programme?

You set the brief and we, as booking partner, quote it. The route is the operator's, and the captain sets the order of stops on the day. Anything outside the route, such as a dinner on an island or a photographer, is quoted separately.

How do I choose between charter and open trip?

Choose a private charter when the event needs the whole boat and your own guest list. Choose an open trip, on Monday or Friday starts, to send a small team or to test the route; the guide and documentation are included, and other guests are aboard.

Is catering included?

Meals on board are in the fare: 4 on a 2D1N, 7 on a 3D2N and 10 on a 4D3N, with free-flow water, coffee and tea. Special dinners, cakes and anything served ashore are arranged on request and quoted separately.
