One boat carries up to 28 guests (Zada Ulla); three smaller boats take 14, 12 and 10, 64 berths in all. A 3D2N private charter starts from IDR 85,000,000 · about USD 5,215 per boat, not per person. PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia books them as partner; park fees, guide and documentation are extra.
Start with the head count, then choose the boat
Count the people first. Zada Mega takes up to 10, Zada Zen up to 12, Zada Nara up to 14 and Zada Ulla up to 28. Past Ulla's ceiling, a second boat joins as its own charter. Find your number in the left column; the boat and its 3D2N rate sit beside it.
| Head count | Boat or pair | 3D2N whole-boat rate, 2026 rates, per boat |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 10 | Zada Mega | IDR 85,000,000 · about USD 5,215 |
| 11 to 12 | Zada Zen | IDR 85,000,000 · about USD 5,215 |
| 13 to 14 | Zada Nara or Zada Ulla | Nara IDR 105,000,000 · about USD 6,442; Ulla IDR 95,000,000 · about USD 5,828 |
| 15 to 20 | Zada Ulla | IDR 110,000,000 · about USD 6,748 |
| 21 to 25 | Zada Ulla | IDR 135,000,000 · about USD 8,282 |
| 26 to 28 | Zada Ulla | IDR 160,000,000 · about USD 9,816 |

| 43 to 54 | Zada Ulla, Zada Nara and Zada Zen | Three charters booked together; see the multi-boat page |
| Up to 64 | All four boats | Four charters booked together; see the multi-boat page |
Each single-boat row is one price for the whole boat. Pairs and larger combinations show no total, since every boat is quoted as its own charter. Only Zada Ulla's rate steps with the head count; the other three have a single band.

Four boats, sixty-four berths, one booking
Zada Ulla is the group boat: 11 cabins, up to 28 guests, a prayer room and the only four rate bands in the fleet. Zada Nara holds 14 guests in 7 double cabins, with a bathtub in the master and in both suites. Zada Zen has 6 cabins for up to 12, and every cabin looks out to sea. Zada Mega, also written Mega by Zada, is the smallest at 5 cabins and 10 guests.
One booking partner sells all four, so the producer on your file can quote one boat, a pair or the whole fleet in the same reply. On any single date the ceiling is 64 berths, and only when every boat is free. The fleet page shows each boat in turn; the comparison page sets capacity, cabins, price and equipment side by side.
The three smaller boats are priced as one band each, so a team of 11 pays the Zada Zen rate whether 11 or 12 sail. Watch Zada Ulla when your number sits just above a band edge: one extra name moves the whole boat into the next band.

Weekday dates are easier to block when you need more than one boat. The rate itself comes from one 2026 price list per boat; weekday and weekend rates are confirmed per date on request.
Three producer briefs, three boat sizes
Three briefs reach us most often, and each one points to a boat size: an incentive trip for a sales team of 20 on Zada Ulla, a company of 40 split across Zada Ulla and Zada Nara as two charters booked together, and a team of 12 on Zada Zen for a 2D1N with snorkelling, a Komodo walk with a ranger and dinner on board.
Weddings, celebrations and graduation trips are arranged on request and quoted separately; none of them is part of a fare. Large family gatherings follow the same head-count ladder as company groups. Each occasion page below works through its own head count and figures.
A sample run-of-show for three days at sea
We plan a trip as a timetable with a name against every line. The stops below are the ones the 3D2N route prints; read the clock times as a sketch, because the captain sets them on the day.
| Call time (sample) | Activity | Owner |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1, 11:00 | Board, roll call, cabin keys | PIC and crew |
| Day 1, afternoon | Kelor Island, then the Menjerite snorkel stop | Captain and crew |
| Day 1, dusk | Kalong at sunset (17:57 in July), dinner aboard | Captain, cook |
| Day 2, before sunrise | Padar viewpoint (06:18 sunrise in July), Pink Beach | Captain, PIC |
| Day 2, late morning | Komodo Island walk, Taka Makassar, Manta Point | Park rangers, captain |
| Day 3, morning | Kanawa Island, back in Labuan Bajo, hand-off | Captain, PIC |
The captain sets the order of stops, the anchorage and the timing on the day, by weather and park rules; times on this page are a sample.
The 3-day itinerary page lays out each day in full, with the walking times at Padar and the bat flight at Kalong.
Send a small team first: the Monday and Friday open trips
Zada Nara, Zada Zen and Zada Mega run open trips on Monday & Friday starts. 46 dates are listed, the first on Friday, 6 November 2026; Zada Mega's first date is Friday, 13 November 2026. Seats are priced per person, twin share, for 3D2N, and the guide and the photo and video documentation are included.
On the three boats with dates, the lowest seat is IDR 6,000,000 · about USD 368 per person on Zada Mega. Zada Ulla's open-trip dates are on request.
Producers use the open trips in two ways. One person sails a Monday seat before the company commits, and comes back having seen the route, the dining table and the crew at work. Or a few top performers get seats as a reward, with no event to run.
An open trip has other guests on board, so a hosted company event needs a whole boat. For that, the charter page prices the boat by head count. The meeting point is Labuan Bajo by 10:00 on day one, and the departures page lists every date boat by boat.
What the producer needs from you before a quote
Six items turn a brief into a quote. Send whatever you have now; the written quote gives each missing item its own cut-off.
- Head count, with the range if it is not final.
- Rooming list: who shares, who needs a cabin alone.
- Dietary list, one line per guest.
- Flight manifest: arrival and departure times for the pickup.
- Branding wishes, if any, such as banners or a welcome sign.
- Budget per head, so we can match a boat and a length to it.
The first message can be a single line: guests, days, dates, or "help us choose". From there it takes three steps: you message us, we answer in writing with a quote per boat, and a deposit of 50 percent confirms the date. The balance is due 30 days before sailing.
Invoices to companies are issued by PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia, and the company name goes on the invoice at the quote stage.

What guests wrote about KEXI trips
“Loved the experience — the team and crew are the best.”
“We saw not one, not two, but seven manta rays swimming together and I got to swim right among them. One passed maybe 2 metres below me and I could see every detail of its pattern.”

FAQ
How much does a Komodo boat tour cost for a company?
A private charter is priced per boat, not per person. For 3D2N the whole boat is IDR 85,000,000 · about USD 5,215 on Zada Mega, IDR 85,000,000 · about USD 5,215 on Zada Zen and IDR 105,000,000 · about USD 6,442 on Zada Nara. Zada Ulla starts at IDR 95,000,000 · about USD 5,828 and rises with the head count. Guide, documentation and park fees are extra.
How many boats do I need for 50 guests?
Three. Zada Ulla takes up to 28, Zada Nara 14 and Zada Zen 12, which gives 54 berths. They are three private charters booked side by side, on the same dates if all three are free, and each carries its own quote.
Is the price different on weekdays and weekends?
We publish one 2026 price list for each boat; weekday and weekend rates are confirmed per date on request. The one calendar-driven fee is the park entry for Indonesians: IDR 50,000 on a weekday and IDR 75,000 on a weekend.
Who runs the boats: KEXI or the owner?
The boats belong to the operator group, and its crews sail them. PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia (NIB 1805260128363) is the booking partner: it quotes, invoices and arranges the pickup. If the booked boat cannot sail for a reason beyond our control, we arrange a replacement boat for the same dates, or refund you within 14 days.
What does a Komodo boat charter for a large group cost?
Large groups sit on Zada Ulla. Its 3D2N whole-boat rate steps with the head count: IDR 95,000,000 · about USD 5,828 for 1 to 14, IDR 110,000,000 · about USD 6,748 for 15 to 20, IDR 135,000,000 · about USD 8,282 for 21 to 25 and IDR 160,000,000 · about USD 9,816 for 26 to 28 guests. Above 28, a second boat is booked.
How long is the boat ride from Labuan Bajo to Komodo Island?
It is not one ride. On the 3D2N route the first stop, Kelor, is about 50 to 70 minutes from the harbour, and Komodo Island comes on day two, about 30 to 60 minutes after Pink Beach. The captain sets the legs and the timing on the day.
