Two boats for 40 guests: planning Zada Ulla and Zada Nara for the same dates, on request
Updated 28 October 2026
Forty guests do not fit on one Zada boat, since the largest takes 28. Two fit: Zada Ulla with 26 and Zada Nara with 14, or Zada Ulla with 28 and Zada Zen with 12. They are two private charters for the same dates, on request and subject to both boats being free.
Forty guests, two boats: the head-count arithmetic
The largest boat in the fleet, Zada Ulla, takes up to 28 guests. Forty is therefore a two-boat number. Zada Nara takes up to 14 and Zada Zen up to 12.
Three pairings reach 40. Ulla with 26 plus Nara with 14 is 40. Ulla with 28 plus Zen with 12 is also 40. Ulla at its full 28 plus Nara at its full 14 is 42, which leaves two places of slack, and that slack is the most useful number on the page, because every list loses a name or gains a plus-one.
Both pairings sit on the head-count ladder: 29 to 42 guests is Ulla plus Nara, and 43 to 54 is Ulla, Nara and Zen. For 40 we look first at Ulla plus Nara, and the next sections test that pair on paper.
Zada Ulla and Zada Nara side by side
The two boats are close enough in kit to run one programme, and different enough in size that the guests do not sleep in the same arrangement.
| Zada Ulla | Zada Nara | |
|---|---|---|
| Guests | up to 28 | up to 14 |
| Cabins | 11 | 7 |
| Length | 35.65 m | 30.45 m |
| Karaoke, Smart TV, local Wi-Fi | listed | listed |
| Paddle board and kayak | listed | listed |
| Whole boat, 3D2N, 14 guests | IDR 95,000,000 · about USD 5,828 | IDR 105,000,000 · about USD 6,442 |
The shared kit means a quiet evening can be planned the same way on both. The Wi-Fi is local, with no speed or coverage promised, so nobody should schedule a video call on it.
Ask in writing how each boat seats its guests at dinner; it decides where 26 people eat on Ulla.
Where two boats make the logistics harder
Four things change when the group is split between boats. None is a problem, and each needs an owner.
Meals. Each boat feeds its own guests. A shared dinner on one boat is a request, not a default, and it depends on both boats being at the same anchorage.
Briefings. One PIC cannot brief two decks at once. Name a PIC for each boat before you board, and a lead PIC above them.
Head count. The manifest has two parts, one per boat. A guest who changes boat changes the band on both, and the cost per head moves with it, so the swap is made before the cut-off, not at the quay.
Captains. Each boat has its own captain, and each sets the order of stops, the anchorage and the timing by weather and park rules. Two captains can reach the same bay at different times, and nobody should plan a joint group photograph at a fixed minute.
The park adds a ceiling we cannot move. Floresa reported on 7 April 2026 that the park caps visitors at 1,000 a day. Forty guests are four percent of it, and the park tickets are bought on names, so the manifest is the document that matters.
What is not promised
The wording matters here, so I give it once, whole. Several boats are separate private charters booked together: same dates, subject to every boat being free, quoted per boat. Sailing together, a shared anchorage and a joint programme are arranged on request; the captains set the order and the anchorages.
That means five things you should not read into a booking of two boats.
- Two boats on the same dates are not a standing product, so the boats are not guaranteed to sail the same route in the same order.
- A shared anchorage is not guaranteed on any night.
- A joint programme, such as one beach at one hour for 40 people, is not part of the fare.
- Each boat is priced as a whole boat, and the guide and the photo and video documentation are not included on a private charter.
- If a boat cannot sail for a reason beyond our control, we arrange a replacement boat for the same dates, or refund you within 14 days, under the booking terms.
None of this makes the pair a poor choice. It means the plan should be written for two independent boats that happen to be near each other, with a joint moment as a bonus.
The rate lines for the pair, boat by boat
The two charters are quoted per boat, and I leave the sum out, because it depends on the split and on the date. Here is each boat's line for the first pairing, 3D2N.
| Boat | Guests | Whole boat | Share per head |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zada Ulla | 26 | IDR 160,000,000 · about USD 9,816 | IDR 6,150,000 · about USD 377 |
| Zada Nara | 14 | IDR 105,000,000 · about USD 6,442 | IDR 7,500,000 · about USD 460 |
The second pairing swaps Nara for Zada Zen with 12 guests: IDR 85,000,000 · about USD 5,215 for the boat, IDR 7,080,000 · about USD 434 a head, with Ulla at 28 guests at IDR 160,000,000 · about USD 9,816. Add each pair of whole-boat prices yourself and divide by 40; the arithmetic is two lines.
One catch is the band edge. Ulla at 26 guests costs IDR 6,150,000 · about USD 377 a head, against IDR 5,400,000 · about USD 331 at 25, so a list that can lose one name on the larger boat has a reason to. Guide, documentation and park tickets are extra on both lines.
Items to confirm in writing before you pay
Ask for each of these, and do not pay until you have read the answer.
- That both boats are free on the same dates, and which dates.
- What we will arrange as a joint programme or a shared anchorage, and at what price.
- The guest limit on each boat, confirmed in writing; on Zada Ulla it is 28.
- The bed layout of each cabin, and which pairs can be set as twin beds.
- Whether a guide is needed on each boat, and the quote for it.
- The return time on the last day for each boat.
The desk can collect the answers in one message. Send the head count, the two or three dates you can use and the boats you have in mind, and the producer on your file returns a written plan with a named owner for each line.

FAQ
Can 40 guests travel on one Zada boat?
No. The largest boat, Zada Ulla, takes up to 28 guests. Forty guests need two boats, for example Zada Ulla with 26 and Zada Nara with 14, or Zada Ulla with 28 and Zada Zen with 12. They are quoted per boat.
Will the two boats sail together?
Not as a standing product. The two boats are separate private charters booked together, and a shared route or anchorage is arranged on request, if both boats are free. Each captain sets the order of stops and the anchorage, so plan for two programmes that may touch.
What happens if one of the two boats cannot sail?
A replacement boat for the same dates is arranged, or you are refunded within 14 days, under the booking terms. Tell the desk whether keeping the pair together matters more to you than keeping the date, so the replacement is chosen with that priority in mind.
Is the guide included when two boats are booked?
No. A private charter leaves out the guide and the photo and video documentation, and both are quoted separately on request. Ask whether you need one guide on each boat when you send the head count, and the quote will price the guide separately for each boat.
